Amy Schaack, MT-BC, WMTR, and LIH founder

Amy is a board-certified music therapist and the founder of LIH.  She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy. She completed her internship at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Amy grew up in Southwestern Wisconsin and returned to La Crosse to begin her profession as a music therapist. She started LIH in 2008 as means increasing access to music therapy within the Coulee Region. Her work started a small pilot project at a local hospital and then expanded into the community and surrounding areas. Amy’s primary instruments include piano, guitar, and voice and she has a special interest in songwriting.

Sarah Kolander, MT-BC, WMTR

Sarah is a board-certified music therapist who graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy and music education. She completed her internship at Music Therapy Services of Waukesha County, LLC in Hartland, Wisconsin. Sarah grew up on a dairy farm in central Wisconsin and is very excited to be working in her home state.  She first became interested in music therapy because of her sister, who has Down syndrome, and loves to sing. Sarah greatly enjoys song writing, and her primary instruments include piano, voice, and guitar. 

Andrea Halvorson, MA, MT-BC, WTMR

Andrea is a board-certified music therapist who graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, with a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance.  She continued on to receive her master’s degree in music therapy from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.  Andrea grew up in Rushford, MN and was excited to return to the area following her education. Andrea’s primary instruments include voice, piano, clarinet, and guitar.

Jennifer Craugh, MT-BC, WMTR

Jennifer is a board-certified music therapist who graduated from the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy. Jennifer completed her internship at Orchard Manor in Lancaster, WI. Jennifer’s primary instruments include guitar and flute.

Claire Collingwood, MT-BC, WMTR

Claire is a board-certified music therapist who graduated from Maryville University in Saint Louis, Missouri, with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy. She completed her internship at Expressive Therapies in Appleton, Wisconsin. Claire became passionate about music therapy after watching her mother, an organist, recover from brain injury through her drive to play the organ again. Claire’s primary instruments include voice, guitar, and flute.

Andrew Riederer, MT-BC, WMTR

Andrew is a board-certified music therapist who graduated from the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy. He completed his music therapy internship at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Andrew’s primary instruments include trombone and guitar.
