Working at LIHMT

At Life in Harmony Music Therapy, we believe meaningful work is strengthened through excellent care, thoughtful relationships, curiosity, accountability, and continued learning.

We want people to understand not only what they may do here, but how we work together, how we think about success, and what helps our organization stay healthy, responsive, and sustainable over time.

Our team works within a collaborative, community-responsive environment where both individual responsibilities and the larger system matter.

What Success Looks Like Here

At Life in Harmony, success is measured by more than completed tasks, hours worked, productivity, or growth for growth’s sake.

We believe success means creating meaningful, sustainable impact across the whole organization — for the people we serve, the people doing the work, the organization we are stewarding, and the communities and systems around us.

Success looks like:

Different roles contribute to these outcomes in different ways. A clinician may strengthen them through excellent therapeutic care and sound clinical judgment. A leader may strengthen them through alignment, team development, service quality, and sustainable systems. An operations team member may strengthen them through reliable processes, communication, and stewardship of resources.

The responsibility is shared, even when the work looks different.

Our goal is not simply to do more. It is to continually increase our capacity to do meaningful work well, steward it responsibly, sustain it, and strengthen what becomes possible for the people and communities connected to Life in Harmony.

Work Environment & Culture

Life in Harmony operates within a dynamic, community-responsive environment. Client needs, schedules, partnerships, programs, and service delivery naturally evolve over time.

We believe strong work is supported by curiosity, collaboration, creativity, clear communication, sound judgment, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

We also recognize that strong professionals do not all work, learn, communicate, or solve problems in the same way. We value self-awareness, diverse perspectives, adaptability, and thoughtful problem-solving.

Strong systems, healthy boundaries, shared responsibility, and clear communication help support sustainable work.

We strive to create a workplace grounded in trust, accountability, continuous improvement, meaningful service, respect, and grace. We believe strong teams and strong outcomes are built through open communication, follow-through, shared learning, and a willingness to support one another through both challenges and successes.

Clinical Practice & Service Delivery

Life in Harmony Music Therapy provides services across clinic, home, school, community, healthcare, and long-term care settings.

Our services are supported through a variety of funding sources and partnerships, including youth and adult Medicaid waiver programs, Comprehensive Community Services (CCS), grants, community contracts, and private pay.

As community needs evolve, our team may contribute to new partnerships, innovative service models, program development, and initiatives designed to expand access to meaningful therapeutic services and strengthen continuity of care.

Clinical roles may also provide services through LIHMT clinic facilities, outreach locations, partner organizations, telehealth platforms, and LIHMT’s Street Beat mobile music therapy studio when appropriate to client needs.
